Tallinn, the gorgeous medieval capital city of Estonia, is considered to be the storehouse of a large number of historical monuments. Start your excursion around the capital from its center - Old Town, where the remains of the City Wall are located. UNESCO has included the historic centre of Tallinn in the list of World Heritage Sites. Paved roads, the town-walls, churches, and old buildings help the tourists to feel the atmosphere of an old medieval city. The must-visits in Tallinn include Clausure Monastery and the Dominican Claustrum, which is the oldest convent in Tallinn, with the Church of Saint Catherine, located inside. Municipal Square is the central square of the city. It is full of outdoor cafes and shops, on the holidays the concerts are held there. On the square there is the Municipal Palace of the City of Tallinn, a building in late Gothic style, representing one of the symbols of the city. Not far from it there is the Pharmacy Hall (Raeapteek), one of the oldest pharmacies still functioning in Europe. In a short walking distance the tourists find the Church of the Holy Spirit with the bell and clock, which are the oldest in Tallinn. Near the port, facing the sea, the Marina Grande Gate and the Tower Margareeta are situated. Tallinn houses many museums. The most frequently visited are Estonian Art Museum, the Museum of Estonian History, Museum of Dominican Monastery, and others.

Tartu attracts the tourists by its parks, war museum, the Toome Hill, and the Tartumaa Museum with the folklore exhibits. The city is perfect to a short break and is a mix of old and new. Visit the charming town of Elva to the south-west of Tartu, located between two scenic lakes, named the Arbi and the Vitipalu. An hour drive to the south of Tartu and you are in the town of Voru. Its main attraction is the sandy coastline, which is always crowded during summer months. Parnu town is also famous for its beaches. The tourists long for seeing Jagala Falls, the highest in Estonia, which is usually called the “Niagara Falls of the Baltics”.
